Discover our range of online resources you can access from home and your library.

Library members can borrow a selection of e-books, e-audio books, e-magazines and e-newspapers from Borrowbox. This service is free.

All you need to get started is your library card and PIN number. If you don't have your PIN number or have forgotten it you can get it from your closest library.

Ancestry Family History

Ancestry can be accessed by library members free of charge within our library spaces.

Trace your family history using Ancestry. You can search censuses for England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands from 1841 to 1901, England and Wales Civil Registration Indexes and much more.

Access to Research can be accessed by library members free of charge in our libraries.

Access to Research gives free, walk-in access to over 30 million academic articles in participating public libraries across the UK. Start now by viewing which articles and journals are available from home, then visit us to view the full text.

Hublets are tablets which library users can borrow for use within the library.

All you need is your library card and PIN to release a Hublet, completely free.

Our Hublet tablets allow you to access and enjoy a range of services including:

  • thousands of free e-magazines
  • wide selection of e-books
  • catching up with the latest world news
  • online services
  • watching your favourite tv show
  • playing games and browsing the web
  • educational and entertaining content
  • online shopping.

BFI Replay is a free-to-access digital archive from the British Film Institute (BFI), exclusively for public libraries.

The content uncovers stories from across the UK, its history and its people. Vividly captured in over 60 years of film, television and video from all corners of the UK - what we, our parents and carers, grandparents and communities watched.
The platform provides access to 1000s of precious videotapes through the meticulous replay and digitisation of collections from across the UK, lovingly collected and cared for by archivists for over half a century.
